Nobody Cares Unless You Give Them A Reason To

I can't believe it took me this long to work this out.

For years I was always showing the finished thing. The polished result. The completed job. And then wondering why nobody was connecting with it.

Then I started telling the stories behind what I was creating, and that changed everything.

See, I realised nobody cares unless you give them a reason to care. And the reason is why you love doing what you're doing and everything that goes in behind it. That's the part people actually connect with. That's your difference.

The finished work looks the same no matter who made it. A great photo is a great photo. A completed renovation is a completed renovation. When all you show is the output, people have no reason to pick you over anyone else, so they pick on price.

What actually builds trust is everything behind it. The decisions nobody sees. The thing that nearly went wrong. The moment it clicked after years of trying. That's where you're visible as a person, not just a result.

So that's why I've been building a system to tell those stories, because they deserve to be told.
